SONYA BERTOLOZZI | PRESIDENT + AGENT

Sonya Bertolozzi started her career as an athlete when she was a figure skater who wanted to be a professional at the sport. After her hopes were dashed due to injury, she then focused on becoming a fashion designer and graduated college with top honors from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY. Upon graduating, she became a clothing designer and wardrobe stylist for fashion shoots, films, and commercials.

One day while styling clothes on set, she was asked to also do make up for the talent. This began a very unexpected and successful career as a professional make up artist in commercials, music video, print, and fashion worlds.

In 2000 in New York City, Sonya founded and launched a sports management agency called Athlete Tank Management. Athlete Tank represented professional athletes and sports models for advertising, print, and commercials. The talent she represented included many X sports athletes such as rock climbers, mountain bikers, skiers, kite surfers, and runners. Athlete Tank agency clients included Nike, Adidas, RedBull, ABC television, and National Geographic Channel.

While running Athlete Tank in New York, she continued to work as a professional make up artist on shoots and while doing so, acquired more in depth knowledge and experience in various arenas of the business. Sonya worked very closely with advertising clients, directors, photographers, actors, and professional athletes and their sponsors.

In Vancouver BC, she met Rich Vigurs, who founded Reel Athletes in 2000. Sonya began managing the agency and eventually purchased Reel Athletes Agency.

OUR POLICY

Reel Athletes is licensed (LICENSE # 481976) under the Ministry of Labour, Province of British Columbia..  We do charge a Agency Fee commission to our clients: 20% Agency Fee above the talent gross wages, on all work that our talent perform.
